Fosgate Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 I find it interesting to read up on some of the history or now failing or defuct cigar companies with a long story behind them. Thinkiing back way before the embargo when a blender could select whatever they wanted from arround the world in their cigars. We often thing about the brands that left Cuba or became defunct in Cuba. Consider how many companies suddenly lost a unique trait to their brand after wars, embargo's, downsizing, cheapening their product for over a century. I wonder what they were like to initially make them so popular to begin with and admire the selection of blends they must have had. We were discussing some of the old comedians that smoked cigars a few weeks back and for some reason George Burns came to mind and I looked up and read about the El Producto's he used to smoke. I remember having one of their old cigar boxes in my dresser as a kid. Found this interesting read https://www.cigaraficionado.com/article/the-el-producto-story-7552 Anyone got any good similar story links about other companies? 3

Skypilot Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Thanks for the article. Wouldn’t it be great to go back 100 years and try the cigars of the day? Would they be similar to what we have today?
