Popular Post unclepauly25 Posted January 16, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 16, 2021 Was on my to work tonight and I decided to review a partagas short, one of my favorite cigars. This box came from our host and it is a psp box. I store my cigars at 65/65. I didn’t have time to dry box, the draw was snug but I prefer it because it I don’t like to rush these because they get bitter when they get too hot. Some would say these are one dimensional, but I love the flavor profile, every puff is partagas, earthy, sourdough bread and forest floor, absolutely beautiful cigar in a small format, perfect for my drive to work. I had a black coffee but I didn’t pair it with the cigar because it tends to taste bitter with the black coffee, probably need to add some cream to pair up better with the cigar. Overall I’d rate this cigar a 93. These smoke well young and aged, and I think they have the potential to age well long term. 8 1
GVan Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Glad to see these are smoking well for you! I have the same code, ASR MAY-18 on a 50 SLB that I've put away for another 6 month wait. The first half of every cigar is phenomenal and the second half won't stay lit. Never seen this with any of my other CC's happen so consistently. Kinda frustrating when you only get to smoke half of a "short" cigar. I'm hoping that you are right and these only get better with some more age on them. 1
unclepauly25 Posted January 16, 2021 Author Posted January 16, 2021 Try dry boxing before you smoke one, one day has been working good for me, it’s really dry in my house because the heat is on, I’m in Chicago so in the summer it’s humid, I have to dry box for 2 or 3 days.

Yup, tried dry-boxing for 7 days at 57% when @Devo was visiting for the holidays. We both had the same issue and we both agreed to just let them sit for a while - frustrating. I have another dress-box of 25 that should be ready to try in another 30 days or so. I'll just have to be patient. I don't like throwing away half of a very good cigar because I get frustrated having to relight it every 3 puffs. 1
