Popular Post bkdash Posted November 29, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 29, 2020 I must admit I am somewhat of a Warped Fanboy haha. Last night I went with a La Colmena no 44 paired with some Rye whiskey. Twist off the pigtail and pickup some cedar and earth on the prelight draw (this cigar has a closed foot so not quite able to comment on draw). 1/3: Draw is perfect and flavors are exactly what I am expecting out of this cigar. Getting loads of cedar, cream and dried fruit. Light spice through the nose, which compliments the other flavors quite nicely. 2/3: Flavors don't change much going into the 2/3 and to be honest the flavors don't change very much at all throughout this entire cigar for me. It wasn't a huge problem as the flavors were great. 3/3: Cedar, cream, dried fruit and spice continue through the final third. Towards the nub the heat kicks up and a flavor or cedar and pepper flush just about everything else out. This was a good cigar from start to finish. 91/92 9
Ender1553 Posted November 29, 2020 Posted November 29, 2020 I will say, I almost only smoke CCs now, but if i'm not going to smoke a CC, Warped is one of my favorites! I appreciate the review on this cigar - it lets me compare your tasting notes to what I feel like i'm getting! I do agree that it seems like that particular cigar didn't really change much between thirds, but that cream was delicious for me! This particular cigar is one of the reasons why I bought a nubber and gave me hope that I could find a tasty NC that (to me) was similar to a CC in a reasonable price range (reasonable as in not Siglo price range)! 1

Have you tried the Maestro del Tiempo 5205 from Warped? It is my favorite cigar from Warped to date, haven’t tried them all but from the few I have tried.
yossie Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 very impressive to read @bkdash ! I am strongly attracted to see NCs reviews , I think It's because of difficulties of getting NCs. Enjoy the environment that You can smoke CCs and NCs! 1
Habana Mike Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 I've enjoyed these and had a similar experience. Even noted the Cubanesque characteristics. May be time to pull one of the last few out to see how they fared as they've matured. 1

Cold Smoke Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Good smokes. I had a soft spot for the No.36 when they were still readily available.
Hollywood Ninja Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 I’ve been meaning to get a box of these after being really floored with a Unico Especial I had. Comparable at all?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe I have a few left..might be time to do a comparison as I can’t recall how the especial was (didn’t take notes at all).
