Bolivar Royal Coronas 2019 (49NRW)

Just a run of the mill BRC. Haven't had one this year, so here goes:

Very nice, light Colorado wrapper. Very thin. Heavy box press. Draw perfect.

First third: light/medium, light cocoa powder and leather. Very typical BRC. Nothing great, nothing bad. Burn and construction excellent.

Second third: No changes whatsoever.

Final third: a very typical BRC. Unfortunately, nothing I would spend my coin on. Just...fine. 90 points.

Agreed on the 1st and 2nd part, think mine had a nicer ending than yours.  Do you think the BBF is a similar profile in a different shape or is it much different?  Thinking about how excited I should be about the BBF considering my BRC was average

I find BBF to be very heavy with the leather. Not much if any cocoa. A little one-dimensional IMO. They do seem to pick up that dried raisin after 5-7 years but I'm not a fan of BBF with less age than that.

The BRC is just too tame for me. I actually tend to find them generally under medium. I'd much rather go for a Monte PE. They've really tried, IMO, to make the BRC a crowd-pleaser and unfortunately it doesn't work for me. I think they hit the mark better with the Libertadores. I'd be interested in a Mag 54 size Libertadores blend.
