Carmakers probably shouldn't be in the alcoholic beverage market, but Tesla has never bowed to traditional norms. The electric car manufacturer has released a new product this month, and it once again lands outside of what you'd expect. Tesla Tequila is billed as a premium 100% de agave Anejo tequila that matured in French oak barrels. Nosotros is the producer, and the spirit is packaged inside clear, lightning bolt-shaped bottles. There's no word on how many bottles will be sold, but it's expected to begin shipping before the end of the year.

I'm sure they've sold out. It's basically a $50 tequila, which probably tastes like paint thinner, but people on Facebook are buying it up real fast.

No I meant the term Teslaquila was used in that tweet on April fools 2 years ago. Then became a meme. Then Tesla trademarked the term and sat on it. Now they have released a product.
