Popular Post Chucko8 Posted November 3, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2020 For myself this year the most consistent cigar which has delivered on every occasion without fail was a laydown misère. Right from when opening the box, you know you're in for a tantalising experience. The aroma is intoxicating, wrappers a lovely colorado shade with next to no veins showing and the petite lancero size exudes elegance. Smoked this at an outdoor bar with a friend that had a great view over Victoria harbor onto Hong Kong Island. Paired with a Old fashioned that had a truffle infusement and finished off with a Zacapa 23yr rum. First third: A floral grassiness right off the first puff. Vanilla honey and a light coffee backing. The smoke feels lush on the retro hale and there is an exquisite rich tobacco aroma. 2nd Third: The foundations built in the 1st third remain, though there is an addition of earthy spice which sidles up with the sweetness of the vanilla honey. This gives the stick more depth of complexity and balance. Smoke content is very pleasing, burn is crisp and strength of cigar at medium. Final 3rd: Coffee and earthiness come to the fore with an added cedar aspect. The richness of the tobacco grows and the feel and balance of the stick still remains on point without passing the medium strength. To me this sets these sticks apart, the balance and ability to remain on point without burning too hot on a smaller ring gauge. Overall: Maintains the rage inline with the other 10 that I have smoked from this box. They smoke beautifully, feel and look elegant along with providing relaxing pleasure. My friend whom I provided one to try, which was his first, requested me to find him a box as he thought it was outstanding. Absolute class and giving it a 95!! 13
