Popular Post Habana Mike
Found this one in the singles drawers, no idea on age though these were discontinued 14 years ago. Last one. The Diplo 1 is a Cervantes at 42RG & 6.5 inches (165mm) Dark ruddy wrapper, still oily and silky smooth. Firm construction, no knots or soft spots. Clipped the head to find a perfect draw. Cedar, earth and cumin at cold. Tastes like well-aged tobacco and Corojo wrapper so possibly mid '90s Dank earth, cedar, white pepper. Hint of marshmallow. Peppery on the retrohale. Excellent burn and dark flaky ash. Dry and tannic on the palate, rich flavors. Medium body and strength. Definitely characteristic of a vintage cigar. Thick white smoke, voluminous. Great flavors and aroma, don't want it to end. In the final third the mouthfeel becomes quite oily and viscous. After an hour and 45 minutes I set it down. An excellent cigar, easily a 95 17
Connoisseur Kim
Dat sick vintage Diplomaticos cigar @Habana Mike! Is it different from Monte 1? Diplomaticos used to have identical CCs to Montecristo a long time ago though.
