Popular Post Rhinoww Posted September 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2020 Today’s “tiny cigar” as a buddy calls them is a Trin Reyes. I actually split this box w him six months or so ago and he has been smoking them. I had one and put them away. A tiny review weekend so let’s pull one out he kept the box so code is at his house. Yes I know the pigtail is there for an easy opening. I have a nice v cutter which I prefer. Draw was actually hard. Thought about the perfecdraw but opted not to quite yet. Wrapper was interesting to me. Dark w a touch of oil but pronounced veins that almost looked bleached. For those in the states they looked like a more refined “backwoods smoke”. Cigar was at 65rh but resisted a gentle lighting w a toasting. Still young and whiff of mongrel at the start that took me my surprise. It settled down quickly. Notes of chocolate a bit of earth (references flavor wheel) lightly toasted wheat bread. Crazy long aftertaste lingering and tingling in the first third. Also getting some heavier nicotine. Paired w a Modelo lager after some morning painting. Not much movement at the start of the second third. Still a fun date though. Silky smoke. Long aftertaste like a light coffee marzipan. I usually hate marzipan but here it is quite enjoyable. Still waiting for the dirt. None yet. Final third. Well the cigar had hard time staying lit. I got frustrated and ended a bit early. Taste was good but not further development. I always expect so much from Trins so perhaps that’s why meeting expectations is so hard. A good cigar. But I’m still thinking about that Monte Petit Tubos I had yesterday. 5
