rcarlson Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Gotta admit that I am an Edmundo fanboy. They're so inconsistent, but when they click there's no better IMO. This box has been among the best I've had. Only a few "mehs" out of the whole lot of 'em. I'm throwing my hat into the ring with today's breakfast smoke. Densely packed, nice heft, well rolled, oily enough to get the Pavlovian slobber started. Cold there was very little aroma. But for me there never is with this or any smoke, regardless of quality really. Not big on jamming a stick in my nostril anyway, especially when it comes to my grubby friends rifling through my humidor. Pleasure's in the smokin'. Starts with the cool rich smoke of a larger ring gauge. Opens with the expected condensed milk, cocoa, light espresso creaminess. Classic Monte. The cocoa and espresso strengthens as it warms, and the sweet milkiness remains. Fudgey. Nice ash and consistent burn. Rounding the corner into the final stretch it took on a stronger black coffee and cocoa. Nicotine build made it less sweet and more full-bodied as it crossed the finish line. All of it to the nubby end reminded my why I asked her to the dance in the first place: I knew she'd put out. In case you're wondering, she did. A - 3
