Monte Cristo #2 LUB MAR 14 (MRW)

This is the second one from this box I am reviewing. I knew this was a good box and I have long loved a good MC#2. It's amazing how much humidity affects the whole cigar experience and I've had to dry out my desk top a few times in the last month because of the heat and humidity this summer. When I pulled the cigar out of the humidor the hygrometer was reading 64% at 70F.  Pretty good considering the sweltering weather this last month. The cigar was firm with a good draw. I was surprised how well it drew considering how highly packed it felt. The first impression was of citrus and chocolate wrapped in creamy tobacco smoke. Gorgeous. The burn was a little wonky but a few touch ups kept it easily in line.  I blew smoke through my nose right up to the very end and there was no bitterness. There was just enough youth to keep the #2 from being bland. It was punchy for sure. Just a great cigar for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. I'll give it my highest rating,  really good.
