Ken,  Good article!  I agree with you about technology - and frankly, it's what I love about cuban cigars.  Grown in the field, harvested the old fashion way, someone has to decide when the time is right (not a machine) and when we finally get to smoke them you don't need a fancy cutter or a high-tech lighter and all we have to do is breath in and out and enjoy.  Simple!  Of course I've intentionally left out all the high tech that gets those cigars to us - the vehicles, planes, sometime boats, the logistics manager, the marketing and don't forget the internet and website we buy them from -- but, since I can't see all that stuff when I'm smoking a cigar it's easy to forget about it all and enjoy the simple pleasures without any tech.
