WalterG Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 What is the best way to freeze cigars? My freezer goes down to -6. Will 1 gallon size freezer bags be enough for each box or do I need a bigger size? Thanks.
Eric05 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Double bag, 24 fridge, 48 into freezer, 24 fridge, take bags off, wrap in a towel until room temp. Everyone is going to have their own method. Just pick one that's in the middle
djrey Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I double bag then throw them in an amazon bubble bag mailer. Straight to freezer for 2 days. Out they come. Unwrap and into humidor. Never bothered with fridge and never once had any issue. Pick whatever makes you comfortable.

djrey Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 If the box fits that what I use most. Otherwise I jump to the 2 gal.
sho671 Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I double bag using 2 gallon bags. I place them directly into the freezer for 48 to 72 hours. Then I take them out, leave them on the counter until they reach room temp and into the humi they go.
ElPuro Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Use a straw to remove air if you don't have a vacuum sealer.
