I have been chasing a BRC dragon for some time. Last fall I had a BRC turbo from 17. Cigar was magical. Fairy dusted. Hit all the right notes for me. I want that experience again and again. 

 

I picked up two boxes of BRC. Nice boxes for sure. But not the fairy dust yet. Every few months I try another. Boli review weekend seemed like the time. 

 

Tight roll and a stiff draw at cold. A slight box press. First third had medium dense smoke and a touch of is that green peppers?  Nice. Not magical yet though

 

Green pepper transitions to a slight dark chocolate aftertaste. As first third wraps up. We are built steam 

 

At the midpoint though the BCJ from last night beats this stick hands down. Not that I’m not enjoying this BRC, but that BCJ came out like a winner and stayed there the whole time. Maybe some room here for magical?  Maybe some more time time down. 

 

Oddly no bold Boli flavors at midway. Much more like the milk chocolate of a Monte. Less dark chocolate. Nice. Just not great. I had high expectations after my cj yesterday. 

 

Ah the final third. The payoff. The long delightful aftertastes. The tingle on the lips. The settling nicotine buzz. Maybe I was wrong. This is turning into a really nice cigar. Glad I have a box and a half of this code left. While I will smoke the other one in my upstairs humidor soon I may wait a few more months to see what happens.

Same box headed my way.  Once it's done circumnavigating the globe, I'll give 'er a go and compare notes.  Not a huge Boli fan, but thought it was time to check back in.  If I pull a Cincy 90, I'll be happy.

Nice review! I have a box coming in myself, so very happy to read your review - LIke you, I've become a bit of a Boli fan. So sounds like another great Boli experience is awaiting

I’m a huge Boli fan though so take my number, largely based on the final third (and maybe my second beer) w my “filters” out in the open. 
 

But if you don’t like that box you get lemme know. We might be able to work something out ?

Great write up. I've had one BRC as a single and it was amazing. Chocolate and Earth and just fantastic from beginning to end. If I had funds I'd pick up a box or two. I guess I'll need to start squirrelling away some funds...
