Popular Post Wailbait Posted June 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2020 I haven’t had a ton of opportunities for a cigar of late. The triple-feature of COVID, looting and curfews has left me scrambling a bit to catch up. But it was a beautiful evening. Great to catch up with @leepers over a cigar. (He brought the heat - a Bushido- wow.). But I love this cigar. I love the size. At about 10 years old, it’s now well aged and smoking as such. Prelight is unreal. Fill, weight and sheen are stunning. I love it. First half is stunning. It’s mellow and refined but so flavorful. It’s earl grey tea and cedar. The second half ramps a bit but never beyond medium. It just feels like a vintage cigar. Connolly leather in an old Jaguar. Worn in but in the best way possible. Joe Henderson may not be the most famous tenor sax player in the Blue Note roster but he is one of my favorites. While John Coltrane is powerful and emotional, Joe Henderson is “evocative.” He always dances between chaos and control. His whole Blue Note output is incredible but In n Out is special. 14
leepers Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Love this. Such a classy cigar. And Henderson was a sly magician. 1

rcarlson Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Henderson is the shit. I nearly carved all my Henderson and Rollins vinyl to the bone years ago. Great choice. 2
