dominattorney Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 got this in a nice sampler for winning a Kenfessions contest. I've had the secrets before and was not blown away so I was grateful for the opportunity to give the big brother a try. Construction is spot on and cold draw promises cocoa in spades and a pleasant ride. No idea the year but I suspect it is young given its inclusion in a prize sampler. first third is a chocolate blast right in the face. I've never had such a clear dark chocolate expression from a cigar but this one is shaping up to be pretty interesting. Coffee bean floats in and out and I pair this, perhaps imperfectly, with a mango Margherita. smoked this puppy outside at the fire pit so photos of the session are lacking in definition based on the lighting, but it was a chocolate and coffee bean symphony and certainly changed my perspective on the Maduro 5 line for the better. I am going to have to source a good box of these for sure. 94 out of 100. 4
Connoisseur Kim Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 I also had same Maduro 5 Genios from Kenfession comp and I really liked it with the Colibri V-Cut. I prefer Connie A over Maduro 5 Genios TBH, but it's still way better than Anejados cigars and Partagas EL17 Series No. 1 IMO.
