Popular Post BTWheezy Posted March 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 21, 2020 For those FOHers who are in “essential” jobs during this pandemic, I wanted to express a very sincere THANK YOU for showing up to work, and helping society get through these crazy times. I was just at the grocery store, and there was a guy outside with disinfectant wipes making sure that the carts (aka trolleys) were as clean as possible for the customers. Gas stations, grocery stores, fire/police, healthcare, delivery services, and many other services....we’d be screwed as a society without you folks taking one for the team. Be kind, patient, and supportive when you venture out, and by all means, let these essential workers know how much they mean to you! 15 4
Popular Post Astar20 Posted March 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 21, 2020 Thanks for this post, it's unreal how busy my job has become (health care), busy days and sleep less nights, risk of exposing my family and friends Co workers, and while medical supplies becoming more and more scarce its making my job harder and harder we are having to minimize our uses on protective equipment (masks, gloves, face shields) but nothing I can do at this point, I just show up do my job for 24-48 hours and go home. And quarantine isn't really an option for me as I have a toddler, and sick family members I help take care of. 8 5
Popular Post La_Tigre Posted March 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 21, 2020 Thank you also from us for the post. We are incredibly busy at the hospital as well. We and our mother-in-law are healthcare workers and are staying isolated together outside of work. All of the concerns of exposing others and coworkers or each other are there with little sleep. The shortage of PPE is a major concern here, too. An even bigger concern is the shortage of life saving drugs. I am on a 12 day stretch of do the job, rinse & repeat. Stay in if you have the choice. ? 7 2

nav4040 Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Agreed. Let’s not forget the airline staff working to get everyone back home before borders are closed. Let alone the fact that a large swath of them will be out of work for a while too. Me included. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3 1
