Çnote Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 My only MC in the humidor, pretty sure this came from @FatherOfPugs but could be wrong. I'm guessing it's an Edmundo based on eyeball and CCW listings. Starts well within what I would consider classic MC flavor DNA, every so slightly bitter chocolate milk, as if you had used baking cocoa and honey to make a syrup rather than Hershey's. Mild for my taste, but this is a big ring for me Great construction as it overcomes a pretty bad crack on the foot and bic touchup in a steady breeze. 1st 3rd is pretty enjoyable. Really hits a bitter chocolate cinnamon note going into 2nd 3rd, loses all creaminess. Flavor dries out entirely into leather and a light spice as 2nd 3rd progresses. Ash fall at midpoint, doesn't really help as it seems to get hotter immediately. I give this a solid 5 minute break and get a Sprite, but to no avail. It's smoking very dry and unpleasantly leathery at this point. If I had more time and depth in the humidor, I'd aristocrat this and pick something else, but I'll approach the band and cross my fingers. Thankfully the band comes off with no issue and the flavors ratchet up a notch so that the same bitterness becomes a more black coffee note that's pleasant enough. Another 1/4 inch of patience reveals a thick gob of s'mores, toasted tobacco, espresso crema; all good for me, I nubbed it down well past the 3rd photo Overall maybe 6/10. This seemed to be the cigar equivalent of the manager's complement sandwich.... 2
