Top 7 Cigar Vintages Since 2000

I had a side conversation with @Bighmack and offered to set up a poll in response to his post. @El Presidente asked about the past decade recently, this will go back further and put in context for past two decades. Please don’t vote unless you have experience with stock from both decades.

Interested to hear what Prez and others think.  For me 08 and 19 are standouts; other years good but those years seem to distinguish themselves.

Picked 3, the last 5-10 years seem to all be pretty consistent IMO.

I have a soft spot for 06.  As a retailer, after years of despair  (from 98), 06 was a turn around year in many ways. 

Until the recent dip due to large wrapper shortage (17/18), every year was largely a slight improvement on the previous.

13/14  (hard to split).  The flavour profile on some of my favourite regular rotation sticks was out of the park

*What i like about 19 is that i have seen almost zero dark wrapper that is thick/rough/oscuro.   Gone are the almost oscuro oily wrappers. Dark now appears to be a Colorado/maduro/rosado.  much better smoking outcome.

Good to hear about the Rosado wrappers.  Best imo, both esthetically and flavor-wise.

I’m just a decade old in this hobby so no vote from me but I have to ask, why 7 vintages? If you had gone with a top 3 or top 5 I think more people would participate.

Thank you for the feedback. No particular reason, however, I thought it was an appropriate number because of the significant 20 year span in covered.
