Markspring1978 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I had a side conversation with @Bighmack and offered to set up a poll in response to his post. @El Presidente asked about the past decade recently, this will go back further and put in context for past two decades. Please don’t vote unless you have experience with stock from both decades. 1
CigarZen Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Interested to hear what Prez and others think. For me 08 and 19 are standouts; other years good but those years seem to distinguish themselves. 1
Markspring1978 Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 Be nice to see some more people casting their votes.
BrightonCorgi Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Picked 3, the last 5-10 years seem to all be pretty consistent IMO.

As a retailer, after years of despair (from 98), 06 was a turn around year in many ways. Until the recent dip due to large wrapper shortage (17/18), every year was largely a slight improvement on the previous. 06 13/14 (hard to split). The flavour profile on some of my favourite regular rotation sticks was out of the park 19* *What i like about 19 is that i have seen almost zero dark wrapper that is thick/rough/oscuro. Gone are the almost oscuro oily wrappers. Dark now appears to be a Colorado/maduro/rosado. much better smoking outcome. 2 2
CigarZen Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Good to hear about the Rosado wrappers. Best imo, both esthetically and flavor-wise.
Cubadust Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 I’m just a decade old in this hobby so no vote from me but I have to ask, why 7 vintages? If you had gone with a top 3 or top 5 I think more people would participate.

Bighmack Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Thank you for the feedback. No particular reason, however, I thought it was an appropriate number because of the significant 20 year span in covered.
