Popular Post Mikeltee Posted February 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 1, 2020 This batch of PLMCs were my introduction into the PL marca and to be honest I was quite disappointed. I received a 5er and the first 4 over the span of 4 months were harsh and flavorless. I was lucky enough to grab some decade old ones and fell in love. Being my last '17, I figured I give it a shot. Finally, this batch was showing it's true colors. No longer was it harsh and boring. The first 1/3 was quite mild with a touch of barnyard. At about the half way point the carmel kicked in and I was experiencing the flavors that everyone around here raves about. She ended up being a mild-medium til the nub which took me about 70 minutes to get to. It was a great lunch break stick, yep the boss was gone, and I rate it a solid 90/100. I have been beaten with ugly stick by Vegas all season long so I am gonna go close to their prediction: SF 27 KC 30 5
fungi Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Nice! Gives me hope for my box (April 2018). I've smoked 4 since getting them a year ago and don't love them, yet. On the other hand, PL Panatelas May 2017 are quite tasty right now.
Mikeltee Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 Had I known the '17s were starting to shine, I would have snatched up one of the psp cabs of plpcs the other day. They wont need much more time down. I love the pantellas too. I'm smoking on a '16 box right now. For the money, what beats it? Not much if they are aged...
Islandboy Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Having an excellent TOS Feb 17 MC right now, what an intoxicating aroma. 1
Chucko8 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 My box of these from LGR Jul 17 are absolutely superb. The bargain price point that I picked that box up for and the delight they bring me makes me wish the box would never runout. Glad to hear yours had turned the corner and gave the experience you were seeking 1
Doctortrent Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Going to look for a quarter box next time they are up

I was told that prez has been offering those '17 cabs for the past 6 months. We may have another shot. I wouldnt be surprised to see the HQ version go up this week for a few dollars less. I've never had a psp pc so I'm gonna hold off and jump on it the next time they appear if there are any that is. I love it when prez drops some aged stuff on us from time to time. Especially sticks that I can afford!
DSegal Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 Bought a 50 cab of PLPC in the only real place to buy Habanos in Viñales, the poorly stocked little shop in the main drag. This was back in February 2018. I had to lobby to get into the humidor but it was worth it. There in a back shelf sat a lone cab. TOS JUL 16. Once home I started smoking them, not realizing they might need a few years. After smoking 6-8 they were all plugged, and having to cut almost an inch off a little cigar to get them to draw, I gave up. Now as they approach 4 years old, they are smoking great like burnt sugar treats. Lesson learned.

DSegal Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 You have any other cabs of that stamp or just PLPC?
