Popular Post RDB Posted January 25, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 25, 2020 In the name of science and all that... TLDR version: do not smoke these now. Nice looking stick, moderately dark for Cohiba but not too much so, PSP grade. Construction good, draw firm but fine. Cold draw really lovely, with grassy and citrus sweetness. But classic ‘too young’ Cohiba flavours on the burn: coffee, char, and pepper on a bed of sandy loam earth. Not coarse at all, good underlying richness, and tons of promise for the future. None of the refined sweetness or honeyed grassiness at this stage. Forget it for another couple of years at least. Score: 0 for current experience, 1 for potential. 7
Chibearsv Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Your assessment is very familiar. These definitely need time. I don't have a cab yet, but it's in my sights.
smitte3 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I have a box of RUM FEB 19 CoRo's and they're one of the worst cigars in my collection at this point, disappointingly so, but ready to age them for a long sleep. Ideally would check back in with the box in 2022-2023. The CRW reviews have been very helpful to learn how these are smoking with various years of age on them. Can't wait to get to the 5 year mark on these.
