ERDM Choix Supreme OMS SEP 15 (XNYRC)

Nice looking stick, and a good draw from a punch cut. Straight off it’s the classic presentation: mild roasted peanuts and a honey sweetness. Some floral and citrus peel edges. What more can I say... this is what Choix Supreme are supposed to do. It’s mild bodied, but there is a touch of tannic dryness that I think would benefit from a little more age. Or perhaps a sweetish drink as accompaniment. Super burn, no touch up required. Stacking dimes, as our US cousins say. Another “1” on the 1/0 scale.

Thanks for the review.  This is one cigar I'm excited to try newer vintages of to see if they've got that classic depth of flavor.  I have some 08 that while very good, seem like they're only 75% towards what they could be.

Thanks for posting this review! I've heard the magic number for these is around 20 but my box from 09 is smoking wonderfully.

Got a box of 08 and I'm not quite getting those flavors. Going to try different rh to see if they make a difference. Got some 18 that maybe turn out a little better in the coming years.

I’ve had others from this box that were a bit bland. It’s not a strong tasting cigar, and I think the context matters a lot. Needs time and space to be appreciated.

Age usually does them wonders, unless of course they are duds from the off. Some of the best cigars I've ever smoked were these from 08 and 09 smoked from 2015-now.
