to the bourbon fans on this site, i think i am correct in saying that we often see Willett get a mention for what you guys are buying/drinking.

just discovered that an old mate of mine looks after Willett Bourbon here. has about 6-8 of them (don't have the full range to list but can track them down - it goes from some of the better priced ones to rarer offerings, but presumably they can bring in pretty much what they want).

wondering what the recommendations are for Willett Bourbons? any i should really chase?

thanks.

I like everything from their 3-4 yr Rye to age stated bourbons. The Willet Family Reserve 12yrs and up have been really nice. It’s sourced barrels but they have some gems.

Any of their bourbons are worth buying. The older, the better, and likely more expensive. I've seen some go for several thousands of dollars...

Ken,

Step 1: Start with the regular production cream of the crop:

Willet Pot Still

Noah's Mill

Rowan's Creek

Step 2: If you like these, then I would get a Willett Family Estate 2, 3 or 4 Year Old Rye.

Step 3: If you are still game, then I would go for the more exclusive, high-priced stuff like Willett Family Estate 12 year Bourbon etc.

I LOVE Willett Bourbons and Ryes but will never pay the ridiculous several hundred / thousand dollars for the Step #3 stuff. If I can walk into it at release level pricing or small secondary market mark-up then I would pounce!
