Popular Post RDB Posted December 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted December 26, 2019 So, this has been an exceptionally stressful day. Think: taking your mother to the emergency department, then finding you have a flat tyre when you need to set out. On Boxing Day. Etc. I haven’t smoked for a fortnight, due to the infamous London winter cold. Sore throat, blegh. But tonight, sod it. Now the cigar. Among the connoisseurs, pretty much dismissed. Robusto. RyJ. Light bodied. Yet if this didn’t exist, and then it was invented... we would go mad. Imagine RyJ suddenly sprang into life, with the Churchill, the short, the Petit Royale and the Cazadores. There would be mayhem. This example was a great representative. Perfect draw, nice construction. Even in 98% humidity and 50F it burned pretty well. And the flavours... right from the off that cherry, middle-eastern spice, incense aroma. Not simple, but not deep either. A welcome back to the pleasures of smoking. Evolution? Not really, just a very gentle deepening. And all through, that sweet and exotic taste, an easy retrohale, and the sheer pleasure of mild fragrant smoke. Score: a resounding 1 6
rcarlson Posted December 27, 2019 Posted December 27, 2019 A resounding "1?" Bit of a curveball there . . .
