Last Christmas Day, I smoked 4 of these Robustos rolled by Reynaldo - 1 walking around Old Havana, 1 drinking Mojitos looking over one of the squares and 2 on the balcony with a case of Presidentes watching Old Havana party away.

I thought it would be fitting to enjoy another on this Christmas Day.

Thin, colorado claro wrapper

Dense, well packed, firm draw

Cold draw is soap and raisin bread

1st Third, below average smoke volume, all Trinidad DNA - doughnut, coffee cake, even some chocolate croissant, medium body, ash holds the whole Third

2nd Third, still below average smoke volume, getting more nuts and raisins, trending toward Ramon Allones DNA. Back and forth, nuts then raisins then back to nuts, medium full body

Last Third, full bore like a robusto sized BCJ with a body buzz, roasty toasty and charry, Guinness with burnt croissant, touch of anise on the finish from needing heavy draws the whole time

Final smoke time: 1 hr 15 min

Great transitions. Had the potential to be epic 96+ with a looser draw and more smoke.

I did with Alex but not with Reynaldo. I grabbed these out of the humidor behind the bar.

I've found Rey's smokes to be bigger (on average), fuller, more rustic... and maybe having more aging potential than other rollers?
