How many years is too many years for a cigar? Turns out, for this one, roughly 16 years. Picked this up from a trusted vendor about 4 years ago and they were smoking fairly well at the time. Stupid me says, I'd they're so good now they gotta be better in 5 more years, so back into the humi they went. Sadly I seem to have missed the prime spot for these puppies. I recall when I first had one they had a nice spice cake and cream flavor, with a faint saltiness on the back end. Now they just taste used up and bland.

FWIW construction and burn were perfect. I am putting them back down for another 18 months to see how they develop again. Hopefully they make a comeback, as I recall really enjoying them when they were on. This one would be lucky to score an 82 and only does that well because of the construction and perfect burn. 20191223_164224.thumb.jpg.620369014c60e9af828aaac3f5a16abb.jpg

Sorry to hear these are past their prime. I picked up a '98 from a box pass that I was looking forward to. I hope it still has some life left.

I hope so too. I am going to revisit one of these in 18 months or so. Maybe they will bounce back.
