Another tidbit gleaned from watching Billy Connolly's Tracks Across America was his visit to Rocketbuster Boots. I'm not a serious boot connoisseur but I used to have a pair of Ariat boots and they were the single most comfortable footwear I think I've ever owned. So Bill's visit to this mob piqued my interest somewhat.

Now, I don't have the coin to indulge in a pair of boots that sit in this mob's price range but if I did I'd likely go for some custom simplicity style...

or, if feeling a little sassy, perhaps something like this... (for when I eat out at Mexican restaurants ;))

In any case, stunning gear, wonderful craftsmanship! Fantastic to see. I love this sort of stuff.

Anyone happen to have a pair of Rocketbuster's? Or similar? Please post some pics if you do!

I despise gaudy boots, although those are handmade I would never buy a newer brand marketing them.

you can do high end boots well...I have a pair of lucchese alligators I got from my dad that are 20+ years old and are still some of the most comfortable footwear I own. My dad wore them daily for 10 years. I wore daily for 4 years, but stopped only because it’s hard to walk quickly on tile and hardwood floors at work. I still wear them frequently. See the image below for the gator lucchese. Those are the ones I have new. Mine actually look better with age and wear.
