dominattorney Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 Today is an interesting day. Let me be the first to say I dont have any res or les in my humidor. However, I did just get a sweet new car. I also have an appointment with my friend as his best man to get measured for suits. My buddy has always had a thing for italian flair, but doesnt really buy suits very often. He wanted to show up in the Giulia, which didnt take much convincing on my part. We talked about the cigar review weekend competitions and he was listening to me lament my lack of res and les to participate. Well, the guy shows up today with this, a band less cohiba robusto supreme. Surely he is messing with me, I begin to prod him. I pointed out that I had smoked the last of two superb montecristo millenniums that I received from a generous friend in nyc several years ago. He reminds me that our quirky buddy who moved to New Zealand last year gave him his humidor to safeguard while he was away. Our buddy james has been a frequent flyer to Cuba for many years, and he had this superstition about taking the bands off all his cigars and shipping the boxes back separate. It checks out, but still I am suspicious, though I have never had a cohiba robusto supreme before. To sweeten the pot, he hands me this new lighter my golfing buddy Gary gifted me to fire it up as we drive from the springs to Denver in style to suit up. Watch out for your eyebrows, ladies. We are painting the town in style. We are hitting the road now. I will edit this post upon arrival to let everyone know how the cigar performed. That is, unless we get arrested along the way. The Giulia scoffs at 2-digit speed limits after all. Edit: upon research and reflection, this was not the cigar it was advertised to be. Seems like someone's brothers cousin who knew someone in the factory, etc. Anyway. As promised, a review. Burn and draw were very nice, and flavors were fine as well, though a bit monodimensional. Doubt this was even close to a cohiba, as I mostly got leather and earth. Not unpleasant by any means, just no nuance whatsoever. The saving grace was that the cigar burned perfectly and the ash was tight and light gray. Didnt spill a bit on the leather interior of the new car. 4
NSXCIGAR Posted November 17, 2019 Posted November 17, 2019 That cigar definitely does not look like 58 RG x 5.0" Cohiba Robustos Supremos... 2

dominattorney Posted November 17, 2019 Author Posted November 17, 2019 I smoked it. It was not even close. Told my friend it was grand....and we spent too much money on threads in Denver.
