lovethehaze Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 I got this box sometime early spring and have had about 4 of them. Each one as bad as the next. Flavor profile has been straight cardboard. So this weekends review is perfect to see how these babies are coming along. 1st third wood and cardboard as expected. Hints of twang so I am curious to see how it will develop. 2nd third starts twang city... things r looking up but it’s short lived maybe for about 5 minutes I enjoy it. Then all mineral, graphite and wood not my sweet spot at all. Randomly I get sweet and salty wood which is better than the rest it still not hitting home. Final third more mineral and cardboard. I would say better than my first few but i struggle with this marca. Just format do anything for me. burn really good, draw really good overall was built well, flavors just not in my wheelhouse. I have more so these will easily be held for some time .. maybe as they age my tastes and they will change. Maybe not. I would rate it about 65-70 4
CaptainQuintero Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 In that second picture it looks really squashed, are they pretty springy to the feel? Or are you just a muscle-bound monster crushing all before you?

I was thinking the same thing at first. You guys have pretty good eyes. I started these cigars in my 62/68 short term storage humi and moved them to my long term aging 69/69f humi because they were so muscle bound and smoked so bad. I have a working theory certain marcas smoke better a little more wet. Lol. I.e. Monti to me smokes better this way and I also moved this box some fonseca no 1’s and punch punch’s also. I have Only sampled the monti’s and to me it was a better smoking experience. These smoked better but flavors still not good. The other ones I haven’t smoked yet. when I received these Fuerzas they were 2nd in muscle only to a box of punch punch REG SEP 18, which even to this day are muscle bound to the extreme and straight tent poles. When I took this cigar out of its storage it was still pretty muscular but def had softened. I dry boxed it for 3 days and it was pretty firm. As I smoked it it def softened up, still was firm but def was a little more wet than I normally smoke, but far from squishy. Maybe it could have used a few more days in the dry box but again I have this working theory so for that experiment it fit the bill. The burn and construction were spot on. Just the flavor profile hasn’t changed much. I have smoked a few principe’s and they start sweet but about 1/2 way through I get this same cardboard flavor. I also have a few Puntas but haven’t smoked any yet...

Underfilled plus changing around in rh is a decent recipe for a horrible smoking experience. How have they been drawing pre-lighting? Easy or tight draws?

Not too easy not too tight, if anything looser than tighter. Just pinching the cap with my fingers. This one had a divot so i was actually excited. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
