bayala Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Here's the table after 6 weeks! Hot Takes 1. Generational [Pabst] In 2003 LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 1645 yards and 13 TDs He also caught 100 passes. He did not make the pro bowl. LT would have dominated in this current era of multi-dimensional RB's. 2. Crystal ball Before the 2012 draft PFF released their QB prospect ranks based on their "Lewin" model. It had RG3 and Luck 1&2 with Osweiler dead last. At the bottom of the article they listed Russell Wilson as an anomaly because their model absurdly predicted he would have the best career of any QB in the draft. Luck and Osweiler have retired with varying success. RG3 is a 3rd stringer and Russ is a perennial MVP candidate. 3. Hindsight is 20/20 With Marcus Mariota being benched and Jameis Winston’s turnover extravaganza in London, the 2015 QB class is looking like one of the worst in recent memory. Other QBs from the 2015 draft class include Brett Hundley, Bryce Petty, and Garrett Grayson. Mariota or Winston was the big question in 2015. They're now both headed for bust status. Two heisman winners and it didn't look like the Titans or my bucs could lose out either way. Thats a buc's life! 4. Proceed with caution [Kleiman] Over the past 2 years, the Rams traded a 1st, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 4th, 5th for CBs Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib and Jalen Ramsey. Basically banking their future. Peters was traded for a LB who was benched by the Ravens. Talib is on IR and Rasmey has yet to sign a long-term deal. Have we seen this model used consistently before? If the Rams can't win a Super Bowl we may never see it again. 5. Bucking the trend [Marzion] Fewest % of interceptable passes this season (min. 50 attempts): 1. Aaron Rodgers (1.6%) 2. Russell Wilson (1.7%) 3. Kyler Murray (2.3%) 4. Tom Brady (2.3%) 5. Patrick Mahomes (2.4%) Are smaller, more accurate QB's the new vogue? Is Tua next? I think we're in for a rethink on the "Traditional" measurable's teams look for in a QB 4
SansSin Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 i was reading an article talking about mariota could be traded to the bucs, how crazy would that be, the first pick being replaced by the 2nd pick from the same draft
Cigar Surgeon Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 All of a sudden the Monday Night Football match up is going to be interesting.
