As Cuba heads full force into the growing season let's hope the current prediction stays neutral.  Mr. Niño, please stay calm and keep our precious tobacco fields sunny and dry lol.

ENSO is a double-edged sword.. A La Niña phasing does bring dry and warm conditions (although the teleconnection to temperature is weaker over Cuba) for the tobacco we so cherish but it can also mean severe drought in the US Southwest and Texas.

We had an incredibly strange weather pattern this year off the west coast on the ocean so things are definitely whacky right now.
