Punch Punch UTE MAR 16 (PQWRC)

This box was purchased from Rob & crew, it was one of my 1st purchases from FOH, and this box has pleased me. When I went to grab this cigar for the review, it's my last from the top half time to order more I suppose.

 

Appearance is quite Rugged lots of visible veins and seams, it's not a pretty cigar.

 

Aromas on the body give off faint cedar notes along with some manure. On the foot I get sweet floral aroma.

 

The cold draw greets me with peanut butter!!! That's right peanut butter, along with more of that sweet floral.

One word to describe this cigar thus far? Smooth

I'm gettin a lot of cedar wood flavors, especially on the finish.

Cigar is getting a little harsh, not in a bad way, maybe harsh is the wrong word, spicy maybe? Perhaps......I am getting some spice along with earth and black pepper.

 

Draw was excellent, plenty of smoke.

 

Burn was close to perfect, only had about 3 touch ups.

 

Construction was excellent. This cigar burned cool the entire time, except when I got down to the Nub. Each third gave me about an inch of Ash to tap.

 

Overall this was an amazing smoke! Plenty of sweetness, cedar and floral notes with white pepper then spice in the final third mixed with the black pepper. This has been an outstanding box.

Nice review. I always interpret that sweetness as stone fruits - plums, damsons etc and I totally get that last third change to something more sharp.

Nice review and thanks for reviewing this particular box code.  El Pres listed these back in January as a lucky find so I snagged a box.  Best cigar I’ve ever had was a 2000 Punch Punch.  Glad to know these are smoking well!
