Popular Post LLC
One of my younger Siglo III’s paired with a Santiago de Cuba 20 year old rum after an great dinner followed by an Affogato. First third:Small clip to the cap reveals a divot. Draw is on the firm side but still good with lots of smoke. Immediate hits of grass and honey giving it a nice sweetness. Spice through the retrohale and a mild-medium body. Second third:Burn still great. Slightly less sweetness more leather and coffee but the underlying core honey and grass still there. Body moving towards medium. Really enjoying the rum but went in to make an Espresso even thought also had one in my affogotto. After my first sip of the crema on the espresso the cigar became more creamy. Had to feed the fish Final third:Solidly in the medium range now with pepper becoming more pronounced with an earthyness (is that even a word). Ok runs done, espresso finished and just starting the final third so went in and grabbed a San Pellegrino to finish the cigar with. Band slides off without an issue. Cigar more earthy but with nice spice, more pronounced through the retrohale. Great to the nub.
