Popular Post Akela3rd
Pissing rain, brekky done, coffee on. Couple of hours til the rain stops so make an ashtray and do a review is the plan.I got this box from 24:24, I've had bad ones in past but Prez reckoned these would be good so I took a punt for $100. Glad I did.Nicely made with slight rosado wrapper and consistent density along the length.1st Lightly spicy, certainly floral. Ugly flaky dark ash.Sweetness throughout, with deep tobacco richness. Surprisingly so for a c&c. Medium strength, slightly more than usual I'd say.2nd Some minor burn issues no doubt due to damp atmos but consistent flavour, nothing complicated but pretty good mix of that rich tobacco and a light spice. Mouth feel is excellent, quite a thick smoke, I'm hesitant to say the old creamy trope but it's certainly got body. 3rd Ripped rather than slid off the rather highly positioned band fully expecting a split due to the moist atmosphere but it's held out. It's a really well made cigar in truth so I've got lucky, consistency being a c&c issue generally. Flavourwise, I've had nothing beyond what I've already mentioned but that's not been an issue as it's all good. Probably overpowered by the industrial campfire coffee to be fair, but really enjoyable. Took it as far as I could and eventually, reluctantly let it go. Nice start to the day.7.5/10 Sent from 47171 Lempo
