Hamlet event at Up Down Cigar in Chicago this Wednesday.

As Hamlet Paredes is well known and a friend to many fellow members here, I thought I'd share an event I'm hosting this Wednesday for any members in or near Chicago.

 

This Wednesday May 8th 5pm - 8pm, Hamlet will be at Up Down Cigar in Chicago for a rolling demonstration, Q&A and party!

We've been supporters of Hamlet's U.S. cigars for a while and have a great time when he's in town.  If you're free, come have a drink and some of his cigars with us.  For attendees, we'll be teasing our new Up Down Exclusive collaboration with Hamlet, the Hamlet 25th Anniversary Corona.

 

$49.00 ticket includes:

- Meet & Greet with Hamlet to discuss all things cigars

- Rolling demonstration

- 6 Hamlet cigars including a sneak preview of our new Up Down Exclusive

- Beer from Goose Island

- Special promos on all Hamlet cigars

Thanks.  With Hamlet around, it's hard not to have fun.  I'm hiding the Scotch from him until at least 6:30...

Sober up, work, yard work, lose weight, put the dock/boat in.

And then pack for the next trip in 1 month.

This was a great event! As many of you on here already know, Hamlet is great person to get to know and very knowledgeable about cigars / tobacco. I learned a lot from the rolling demonstration and enjoyed speaking with him after. Thank you Phil ( @5thStarChicago ) for putting this event on. Up Down Cigar is a great location to shop or enjoy a smoke for anyone in Chicago.

Here are a few pics of the event. I was excited to try my first culebra which surprisingly had no draw issues and I am looking forward to trying Hamlet's custom roll.

Since I have never tried any custom cigars before other than saw Cuban torcedora rolling custom cigars at shopping centre once (im still in Malaysia btw), are they taste better than regular production cigars?
