parabola66 Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 So I picked up a 6 pack of Siglo V the other week while they were up on 24:24. They came today and just on the nose, I got hints of red grape, such as the kind you would get at the grocery store. I was very surprised. Not at all upset. I cant wait to see how they develop after laying them down for a year or two. Whats your experience with the Siglo V?
Derboesekoenig Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 Don't think I've experienced this flavor in a cigar before. I usually get the typical Cohiba flavors as I get in most of the other Siglo series. But it's been awhile...will have to revisit! Thanks for reminding me.
MD Puffer Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 Grocery store grape- as in Welch’s grape? Sure you weren’t smoking one of there? 1 1
nKostyan Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 Sometimes in the fresh waterlogged custom-rolled cigars I feel the taste of red wine fermentation. I think Your cigars need a little rest. 1
CaptainQuintero Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 Sounds lovely, I get a subtle touch of green grape skin reasonably often in a few different cigars; that sweetness combined with a hint of metallic, but not before in Cohiba. LFDC seems pretty consistent with it, or at least the only marca which has it as a regular flavour for me. Let us know if you pick it up when lighting one up!
