Punch Royal Selection No.11 - ASB NOV06 (PQDRW)

I have been on a Coronas Gordas kick lately and chose this Punch to review today.

Out of the box definitely not the prettiest thing and has a sprinkling of fine dust on entire length. Very rustic but felt excellent on construction.

Smell at cold is earthy leather and sweet tobacco with similar on draw which was "Goldie Locks - Just Right"

As I progressed through this old favorite; find myself reminiscing back to old days.

First third - Grandma always put up preserves. When she canned peaches, the pits were set aside for use kids to chew on (today probably taboo). This is what I tasted here, light peach and nutty chips as when we once cleaned the remaining fruit from the pits.

Second third - We would get "made from scratch home grown" everything served at meals. Grands had their own huge vegetable garden, fruit trees, cow & pig. This is something I am sad most folks today never get to enjoy.... After a hearty meal (oh yeah, your plate was expected clean); Desserts were a welcomed reward. This part of the cigar brought memories of Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies with just a few crushed walnut in the mix -- Very nice!

Final third (but not the end) - My wishes are you have sat getting warmed by a wood/coal burning Pot Belly Stove; this is where I went next. Warm relaxing wood scents on retro; very smoky making you want to loosen that belt a bit and just take it all in!

As you can see from last picture - I just didn't want the pleasure this cigar was giving to end... Footnote: Creamy from start to finish :2thumbs:
