havanaclub Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Haven’t had too many of these so I was excited to pull this out for the review weekend. I paired the cigar with some Blantons and punched the cigar. Unfortunately the cap split while doing so, but it didn’t seem to affect the cigar much. Draw was spot on. Cold draw was leather and spice. First: toasted tobacco, bakers spice and a nice sourdough note throughout. No pepper 2nd: leather started to kick in with that nice doughy note that was very enjoyable. 3rd: body picked up to a medium to full. Spice, and a little sweetness came in towards the end of the cigar. Construction and performance was excellent. Really love the size and will be looking for a box down the road as I only have a few left. Rated 93 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4
aphexafx Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 The 8-9-8V is special! For the price you get concrete consistency and one of the most complex smoking lonsdales around. Worth every penny. Blows the Siglo V out of the water, if you ask me. I like Cazzies after mowing the lawn and 8-9-8s after dinner. Makes a great day. Great review and may you win the box. Edit: And Culebras WHILE mowing the lawn. Winner day, that is. 2
