Popular Post JoeyBones777 Posted March 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2019 First 3rd shows a mix of black and white pepper on the palette that remains on the long finish. I'm typically not a huge fan of pepper but this is balanced nicely and works quite well with the date sweetness and toasted tobacco core. The texture of the smoke is somewhat creamy. Draw is perfect but the burn is a little wonky. Second 3rd and the pepper quietly fades as some earthiness enters to mingle with the toasted tobacco and date sweetness. The retrohale is smooth and sweet. Draw is still great and the burn is decent but not great. The aroma throughout is intoxicating. Final 3rd shows more intensity of earth, toasted tobacco and date sweetness. There is still a slight pepper tingle on the palette but it is faint. She is a bit temperamental, as skinnies can be, slapping me with some slight bitterness if I rush things with her. There are very few elbows left and they don't detract from the enjoyment of the cigar but gently whisper "if you like me now, just wait...". Draw is perfect and burn the same as second 3rd. I love the mix of sweet and savory, I love the dalia/lonsdale vitola and I love the uniqueness of the blend. These will be a mainstay in my humidor and I plan on getting my hands on some more before I dig too far in this current box. I rate her 94 11
Guantanamera Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Great review! Thanks. One of my favorites. 1
Kaptain Karl Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 One of my favorites as well. The flavor intensity/richness and the balance between sweet and savory is just stunning on these! 1
