Tollickd Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Hey all Ok who chooses which cigars are made for regional editions? Do the county test many and pick one they want or the cigar company just picks for them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tollickd Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 IIRC, I believe it is the regional distributors and/or importers but I could be wrong......I was wondering if it was like whiskey like JD single barrel you can test a few and pickThe one your want! Also anyone know why you never see a Cohiba RESent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, the Regional Distributors put up the investment. Sometimes it's very risky but can pay off handsomely, such as the 2014 Nro. 109 Serbian Sancho Panza Eslavos in 50 cabs, for example. 52 minutes ago, Tollickd said: Also anyone know why you never see a Cohiba RE? The Global brands (Cohiba, Montecristo, H.Upmann, Hoyo de Monterrey, Romeo y Julieta and Partagas) are used for Limited Edition releases. (Although some Limited Editions have been chosen from the other Specialist marcas in recent times...such as the 2017 Punch Regios de Punch.) 2
Piligrim Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Our distributor send questions what sellers and known aficionados want. like marca, strenght, size and even name. they collect all and decide then. release should be not less than 60000 cigars. 1
