cbrooks9009 Posted January 20, 2019 Posted January 20, 2019 Hey everyone! I’m Chad. Just got back into cigars after about a 10 year hiatus. Recently was able to try my first two cc’s and am excited to try some more. I was looking at trying the “new to Cuban cigars sampler” in the store here. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Great to be here!
ayepatz Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Welcome to the forum! ?? You’re on the right track. @El Presidente’s samplers are a great way to familiarise yourself with a wide range of marcas and vitolas, enabling you to figure out what suits your tastebuds before committing to buying whole boxes. Enjoy!
MikeinKS Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Welcome Chad! The New to Cubans is a great way to start. That's what I did and I took a few short notes on each one to decide which I wanted to explore further and which definitely weren't for me. You'll likely read a lot of recommendations to let the cigars settle a bit before smoking them. I have definitely sensed a difference between smoking one within a couple of days versus waiting at least 30 days. I've then noticed further difference after 90 days. Enjoy!
