I'm hoping so, I got a spare box to try and one to age. I have some aged BBF that were stunning so always try to get one to age and one to smoke ROTT.

I've smoked 3 so far and they have been really decent, typical bolivar power and only a few harsh notes near the end but great potential. Think i gave them 88-89/100 but with massive potential with age.  Similar to the Partagas 2017 LE ready to smoke now and will be even better in 3-5 years.

Reviving this thread with the hope to get some insights. I have only a couple of sticks left as I really liked them when they came out and smoked a bunch.

Has anyone had a Soberano this year or recently? How are they doing after a few years down?

Still sitting on mine. 3 years next month... might be the time to try. I had two singles from JJFox when they came out and really enjoyed them but thought they'd be better with a good long rest. Not subtle at the time so if they've mellowed a little, just a little mind, they should be very good.

I also bought some sticks in the UK at that time, and pretty much decided to get a box not long after based on those. I still keep a few sticks. Not sure if smoke or let them rest some more!

MSU DIC '18 - Smoked one the other night after 90 days down from receiving them.  It was full bodied for me with great construction, draw and smoke output.  Some black pepper, dark coffee, and cocoa notes throughout.  Thought at first it was smoking quickly but then looked at my watch and realized it had almost been two hours when close to the nub.  Very enjoyable experience and minimal touchups if any from what I remember.  I put up a pic and such in the FoH Daily Smokes a couple of nights ago if you haven't seen it.  Hope this helps!

Enjoyed one in 2019 from box purchased that year in London.  Loved it ...Remember it being rich and complex with 3 distinct thirds at the time, though it occurred to me then that I might be missing out on it’s potential.  Saved all the rest and have been wondering when to dip in again.  
 

UK supplier told me I’d gotten his last box, and haven’t seen it available since except on BR (at a big premium, if I recall).  Would welcome a restock, which would free me up to try again sooner than later!  It would be great to see @ FOH!

Have smoked 3 from each of two boxes. Totally different flavor profile and burn quality between the boxes. Both stronger in impact but disappointing on the depth of flavor. Resting them a year or so before giving them another go.

That's interesting. Do they have the same box code and factory, or are they different? I have a REG NOV 2018 and they were really great.
