Popular Post RDB Posted November 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted November 14, 2018 Impatient again, I had this ROTT from a PSP box which arrived only yesterday (but had been sitting in the parcel depot over a week since shipping). Box pressed shape, maybe a touch under colorado shade, firmish draw. I picked the ugly duckling from the top row, with a cracked foot, but this didn’t seem to have any negative effect. Otherwise the construction is good. Nice burn despite smoking outdoors in a cool breeze. We’re lucky with the autumn weather this year in London. Nuts! Plain roasted peanuts and creamy coffee - alright, I’m drinking creamy coffee whilst smoking this, but the flavour is clear. Slightly sweet, and just under medium body to start with. Builds over the middle third to darker coffee, richer and losing much of the sweetness while gaining body. Becomes a touch harsh eventually, and I leave it after half an hour, before the final third. Smoked inside I’m sure I’d have gone for more. Lovely aftertaste. This was mighty impressive for an inexpensive smoke. Time will bring improvement, but I’ll smoke this box steadily from now on, as I haven’t got lots of older sticks. Will be in my petit corona rotation with Bolivar PC and San Cristobal Principe. Drink was a decaf latte, which worked well. The creaminess of the milk, and relatively mild coffee, complemented the flavours of the cigar. Cheers! (cross posted to store reviews) 3 2
Chucko8 Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Nice review! Looks like a nice day as well.
Akela3rd Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 Pretty much the same for me. Had one ROTT and got that nutty flavour straight away, creamy middle then went downhill. These will definitely benefit from a couple of months settling in. A replacement for the HUPC? Dunno about that, but certainly worth a place in the humi. Sent from my ActionMan walkie-talkie
