BudBud Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 I went to several shops in Havana last week. The cigars that were stocked in the shelves behind the front counter and sales person were not for sale. Cigars were only for sale if they were in the front counter. Has anyone had this happen to them? My guide asked why and was told the same thing, Not for Sale.
oliverdst Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Never happened to me. The only time something like that happened the boxes were hidden below the front desk where no one could see and the manager told me they were reserved (to a flipper). Which shops was that? 1
Derboesekoenig Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Yes I encountered this on my trip last month, and was not pleased. But hey, money talks 1
Lotusguy Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Given the volume that some of the people on FB do with HTF releases, this doesn’t surprise me at all. They buy in bulk and slip the sales people/managers some cash and presto. Lots and LOTS of “Minsap” stickers 1
