George-eed Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I like to think that I am quite a strong character and at the ripe old age of 57 I’ve so far managed to avoid or control most of life’s vices but now I realise that I’m in too deep. I’m addicted and I need help. This addiction is none other than FOH, or in particular 24:24! Like most addictions it started quite innocently. I’m a newbie, just 6 months in, and for the first month I watched quietly on the sidelines but then I took that first fateful step and placed an order. Since then I just can’t keep away. What makes it worse is that I live in london so that means I have to stay awake till 1.30am just to score a hit! At first I tried coffee, double espressos by the bucket load, only to find that I would drift off at 1.25 and wake up around 2.30 not only to find that the 898’s were all gone but now I couldn’t fall asleep again for the rest of the night! Then I thought I would set my alarm, but I realised that would mean waking up the wife and I dread to think what it would cost me in shoes and bags if she found out what I was up to. Now the addiction has taken a firm hold and I’ve managed to train my natural body clock. Most nights I wake up just in time to take a peak and then get to sleep again. It doesn’t matter if I’m buying or not, I still have to look! It’s go so bad that I now dread the weekends. I just don’t know what to do with myself on a Saturday night. I wake up all sweaty and start pacing the room. This has to be withdrawal symptoms and I have to get through them every week! I’m starting to hate public holidays and I can’t bear to think how I’m going to get through Christmas? They say that accepting you have a problem is the first step to a cure so maybe there’s hope for me yet. Rob, I think you really need to put up a health warning somewhere! Loving the site, keep up the good work I still haven’t managed to score that box of 898’s by the way! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1 1
cigaraholic Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 At least you found out early cigars aren’t addictive but buying them sure as hell is! 2
Cayman17 Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 You set the alarm in your phone but use earbud headphones. When the alarm goes off, only you hear it. Then you get up and walk to the bathroom to check the sale. Simple. And you don’t get insomnia from too much espresso.
