It’s hot as heck here now in the high 90s. I am getting a taste for iced coffee with a favorite stick I am a total rookie at this and looking for new things to try. If you have a favorite recipie please share. Anybody know much about cold pressed? Thanks in advance

Cold pressed is coffee is brewed cold. I have a little filter in a glass container that I bought and it does the job well. Just put in the grinds and water and let it sit for 12-24hr in the fridge. For iced coffee, I brew it like hot coffee but double the strength. When poured over ice it dilutes and the double strength brew gives you a strong cup of iced coffee.

Keep a ratio of 1:4 and you can make a lot more. Once you add the ice and/or whatever else, it dilutes it enough so it's perfect, in my opinion. I stick to single origin coffee roasted within a week, and lighter roasts that produce fruitier, more naturally sweet coffees--such as an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

I take a 20-24 ounce thick plastic cup and fill 3/4 with ice cubes. Stick it in my Keurig as you would a coffee cup and let the hot coffee run over the ice cubes. After that I add my 1/2 & 1/2 creamer and Hershey caramel syrup to taste. Stir well and then top with more ice cubes. Caramel iced coffee is a great cold coffee drink with a cigar and much better than alcohol in the summer heat and humidity. And having a sugared drink is great with a fuller strength stick.

Amazon sells a cool filter piece that screws into a mason jar. Put your grounds in, screw on the top and let it sit for 24 hours. Works great. I just have been addicted to my espresso machine so I haven't been making cold brew, but it is good stuff.

What I like to do for iced coffee is do an iced latte(if you've got an espresso machine) take whatever your milk of preference and put it in a cold steaming cup, and pull the shot directly into the milk, this way you don't melt the ice and dilute the strength,
then I pour the espresso/milk mixture into a full cup of ice(add sugar or flavors if you're into that blasphemy!) Good stuff, goes great with a cigar and a book on the porch.

I use my French press, make the coffee very strong, and then when I pour it over ice it dilutes it just enough.  I put in double the amount of coffee I would for a hot brew, let it sit in the fridge for 48 hours, and then ready to drink over ice. Not too much to it.  Having a good French press is key.

I follow most of this advice.  Use french press, make extra strong (or add espresso shots) and put it in fridge after pressing and pouring.  You may want to add a touch of sugar to the coffee while it is hot as adding any sugar when cold is futile.

Add 2-3 cardamon pods while brewing is a nice touch.  I would steep for the regular 4-5 minutes and then pour into carafe to fridge.

Being in Kuwait and temps running currently about 35C at night I have gravitated to Cold Press Coffee. I make it using fresh course ground beans about 7 Tbls per quart of water. placed in the fridge for 12-24 hours. I decant it into a french press, leaving a large amount of grinds in the jar, then press/filter it out. You can make it stronger and use as a concentrate.  Very refreshing.

What turned me on to it was I have had some cold press decaf that was really great at a coffee shop while smoking a cigar. I couldn't believe that it tasted so good, so I began to make my own. In fact, I have a 20 oz RTIC tumbler right here full of Cold Press :)

We brew a cup of coffee, toss a lot of ice in, (use a mason jar with lid) add a squirt of agave sweetener, some of your favorite milk, be it almond, soy, or cow.

Shake it (lid on, naturally ) until it’s frothy and foamy.

Enjoy.
