For some reason there's a lingering taste that seems to stay in my mouth after a Dominican. I don't like it. Cubans and Nicaraguans not so much. Even after brushing the teeth and mouthwash, the wife can still smell a cigar on me up to 24 hours after a smoke, regardless where it was from.. She's got the nose of a bloodhound.

*Many moons ago - back when you could smoke indoors AND aboard aircraft! - I was going through the airport and spotted a business suit wearing gentleman with a lit very dark greenish colored cigar (no it was NOT a candela), and smiling delightedly. I stopped him and asked about his cigar. He immediately put it right up underneath my nose and said, "See! Smell that! You can hardly smell a thing!" And he was right - I couldn't really detect much scent at all. He continued with, "This is a CUBAN cigar! When lit you can hardly smell a thing at all!" still smiling delightedly. "This is the finest cigar in the world!" And I'll always remember that! Sometimes I'll give it a shot with my nowadays Havanas that I'm enjoying now - and yes...you do barely detect much scent, even up and around the smoke. Of course, the last dark greenish colored "Havanas" I'd had I knew were not authentics for sale in the LCDH's stores...but had apparently actually been not very attractive looking Habanos being sold "under the table" I suppose...but they were among the best tasting, wonderful smokes I'd had in awhile....what can you say!?    :cigar:
