I know we all have been discussing this humidity issue but mine is kinda strange:) I have Newair-CC-300 with about 20 boxes and about 100 singles. I have installed 2 extra fans on the back for better circulation. On the top my temp is 65 humidity 65% same at the bottom. /im using boveda 320g 65%. But in the middle where my singles are temp is 65 but humidity is up at 70-71%. Im using the boveda bluetooth censor and i just did calibrate it. Any idea why i have that difference in the humidity. Thanks in advance.

Nice collection! I have the same humidor and use the humidity beads. I ended up taking my cigars out of the boxes and got better circulation and more even humidity. Maintaining around 65-66%.

Weird that it is higher in the middle.......

OH! I see a boveda on the too shelf... and a boveda on the bottom shelf... and mothing in the middle.

I wonder if the lack of space for air to circulate freely (those boxes are packed TIGHT) means the shelf without a boveda isn’t being properly regulated.

TLDR sounds like you should get a bigger wineador and leave more space for the air to move around.

There is one pack in the middle its not visible though. But totally agree with the idea of the bigger wineador :)

And its not like those singles were just put in so they were at higher humidity. They are all from boxes sitting in the same winador...

But with the 2 fans in the back, I'm still trying to figure out why humidity would sit higher in the middle....

Because there’s no free air space for the fans to circulate that air around the metropolis of boxes. The bovedas can only regulate the humidity of the air that reaches them. The fans can’t blow air through a box. The air in the middle isn’t being circulated to the top/bottom where the bovedas are.

Ok. I still think you need more open space to allow the air to circulate though. As your attorney, I strongly suggest you double your wineador capacity. ?

Then where this extra humidity came from? Outside humidity has been under 30% for the last 5 months..

Released by the bovedas as a result of the inconsistent humidity gradient at the border of the areas where there is circulation and the areas where there isn’t. You’re not allowing the air to reach every nook and cranny. Your poor bovedas are confused. ?

Maximum humidor capacity for decent circulation is about 60/40 (cigars or boxes / open space). Optimal is 50/50.  You are at 95/5.

Edit: for math

Yup. Look at how much space is between the bottles in the stock configuration of a wine cooler. That’s a LOT more free air space than most wineador users seem to  allow.

Those fans are rated at what... 50-100cfm?!? That’s NOTHIN, man. That’s why they have a nice low power draw and can stand to be running 24/7. They just don’t have the power to push air through a ton of turbulence (read: stacks of boxes). Gotta leave room for air to move.

Damn you all. You have forced my hand. I finally bought that new 28 bottle cooler I've been looking at.

Box of 898s came today. My wee 6 bottle wineador is overcrowded and i loathe my wood box (it gobbles bovedas as the seal is terrible and my humidity is really low). 3 more boxes on the way atm. i need to make room.

That is weird the humidity is higher in the middle. Especially since you say the top and bottom are both at 65%. Is there any cigars or boxes in the middle that might be a higher humidity that could be causing this. Idk what else it could be.

Anyways, I'm glad the New Air cc 300 sounds like it's serving you well for the most part. I just bought one of those and am seasoning right now and can't wait to stuff it full of boxes and sticks. Awsome you fit 20 boxes in there and 100 cigars. Man I can't wait till mine is ready.9797edababa7eeead56f95b9f1e1da22.jpg

it looks like the newair300 is the same outer dimensions as the one i just ordered. i gather it's built from the frame of a 28 bottle cooler?

It's a cc 300. I'm guessing the extra drawers and shelves are what's making it tough to tell. You see, I ordered one and the first one I ordered came severally damaged and the place I ordered it from said they didn't want it back and to donate it. Well it was dinged up beyond use as the frame was messed up and there were large dents on almost every corner, so I did what I'd imagine any of you guys would do... I dismantled everything off of it... The cooling elements the fans etc and of course the drawers and shelves. So, when the new one came I put the extra drawers in the Wineador to season them as well. I still have 4 more shelves from the old one that I gave to season but I figure what the hell I'll use them in my Coolidor.

Ha, yeah that's exactly what it is. The extra drawers and shelves definitely make it look bigger!

I have 8 of these at the moment and I had the same problem.  It has to do with the fact of the internal fan placement of the cc-300.  Unplug the unit and you will see all of your numbers even out.  If you must run it (A/C)  perhaps you can block the airflow.

The problem, as I can best tell is the internal fan runs 24/7, even when not cooling.  It pushes the air into the center.  Perhaps it is pulling the air from the top and bottom and pushing it to the center.

There is no need to add fans.  As long as you place your beads/packs evenly around, there is no need for air circulation.

Make sure the drain hole is plugged as well.

Oh man. How did i forget to mention that?!? I fought ***80%+*** rh in my wine cooler when i first set it up in my old swampy summer basement apartment. Finally found that unplugged drain hole and felt like a doof for not noticing it sooner. Everything was kosher after i taped that bugger up.
