Ken Gargett Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 wondering if anyone has had a chance to try this as yet? a couple of samples have arrived so i am keen to have a look. will try one of them for kenfessions. apparently the name comes from the blend - a blend of six malts and two grain whiskies and they come from five 'rare' distilleries and three 'ghost' distilleries - as in distilleries that closed down years ago, but they still have the whiskies from when it was operational. $480 a bottle. 2
awkwardPause Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Ken, Would love to give this one a shot...That said, even if I found it in my state (Washington) the spirit taxes are hellish, although likely not as bad as tobacco tax in Oz from what I’ve learned here. Maybe the Kenfessions page can start hosting daily high end/rare spirit sales? Let us know what you think if you end up sampling it!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Intriguing idea to do something with lost and unloved barrels. Jefferson's has built a rep/brand doing just this. I've not yet been impressed enough with their efforts, but my experiences are few. Perhaps there's a reason forgotten barrels are forgotten? Anyway, always interested to hear your take on a new beverage!
Kaptain Karl Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I had 2 glasses last night, it was spectacular!
CigarmanTim Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 No and I don't intend to. I have had the regular Johnnie Walker Blue and the Peetiness smell like body odor to me.I found myself smelling my pits thinking it was me!
Ken Gargett Posted March 15, 2018 Author Posted March 15, 2018 not sure there is any peatiness here or pits. it is a stellar whisky. will do it for kenfessions. all that said, i like the peatiness so for that money, personal taste would send me to islay. 1
