A little late to the draw on this one.  The holidays kept the family busy.  I finally got the chance to grab a cigar tonight.  Given that it's 15° and I'm a real complainer in the cold, I went with the Perlas.

Starts out mild.  Generic sweetness with some cream. At the halfway point the Perlas becomes much richer in flavor.  The cream note is still there, but it's more intense.  The sweetness seems like that of light brown sugar, and there's a light spice flavor.  Wrapping up, it stays pretty consistent to the end.

Perfect cigar to battle the cold.  I ended up making it last for about 45 minutes, despite smoking fairly quickly.  The Perlas is quickly becoming one of my go to smokes.  Definitely need to grab a few more of these.

Great review, thanks.

The RG Perlas might be the best value in CCs right now.  I'd put 2014-present production quality pretty much on par with the Monte 5 and at 60% of the price it's undeniable value.

Always happy to find a cigar that HSA is putting some effort into and the RG Perlas is one of them.

The box that this came from has been very consistent in quality too.  The construction has been outstanding.

Great review! I picked up a box of OLM NOV 13 Perlas several months ago after hearing such good feedback about them, and I haven’t regretted it a bit. They’re one of the best values I’ve found, and are perfect for winter weather. Way better option than the Chicos/Puritos I was smoking in cold weather before.
