There are times when random thoughts hit us all and are not really Thread worthy.

If you have a funny observation, witty remark, something strange, curious or eccentric to share ... Toss it in this Dumpa thread. I hate to clutter"The Water Hole" and at least my doctor thinks it a therapeutic practice to release these thoughts.

 

For example today I was thinking

Paint ball guns would be a great alternative to horns on motorized transport. Think about how it would reduce noise pollution plus mark the offensive idiots for your fellow drivers!

I was listening to our ABC (Public radio) today. Great segment on how "Ugly fashion" is the new cool. mismatched clothing, long socks and sandals.  The thought crossed my mind of how far ahead of the curve Jeremy is. I just thought he was doing it tough.

I am now lumping you in as the same category as my wife. Who says, that I am, consistently, at least 3 years behind the fashion trend. To which I explained, to the totally ‘unsavvy fashoon tragic’ it would appear so. But the fact of the matter is, I am purposefully 7 years ahead of the curve.

30 years ago we were allowed to bring in guns and plink away - cans & critters. These were more landfill operations not the recycling centers they have today.

So today I was thinking...my birthday was last week...and a bunch of people on FB wished me a happy birthday. Well...today I had someone message me and make sure I was ok because I didn’t respond to their happy birthday wish, and it was bothering them some...so...can I ask...what has happened here? I am supposed to feel obligated to respond to every person who wished me a happy birthday on Facebook so as not to hurt their feelings? Wha wha what in the blue hell is this? Human existence is most assuredly doomed if this is where we’re headed. Huh?

Was flipping through some of my albums that I want to transfer to digital format some day and came across this Welsh group that was Banned in the USA (1971).

They were Not ready for what later is considered Heavy Metal.

But the group was named after a cute little bird ... Budgie

Why ban them?

I too left Facebook behind for good several years ago. I came to the conclusion that while not everyone on Facebook is immature and gets butthurt too easily, everyone who is immature and gets butthurt too easily is certainly on Facebook.

Yeah I got a FB account
Thinking in maybe 4 years... I posted twice.
Once to accept my Wife as a "friend" then another to tell people it pisses me off seeing those who text and FB while driving.
Also promised to check in again in two years
This FoH format is more my speed

Oh boy, don’t even get me started. I actually witnessed a young woman barrel obliviously through a red light, coming in the opposite direction as me while I had the green left turn arrow to cross her path. Of course her phone was being held above the steering wheel with one hand. Luckily I saw from a distance that she wasn’t likely to even notice the traffic light. Didn’t even phase her, even after the deed was done.

Texas auto deaths may break 3200 this year, with much related to text/ phone use while driving. State passed law on texting mid-year.
Goes back to my original post on the use of paint guns. Mark the idiots
